Finding What Goes Bump in the Night

Finding What Goes Bump in the Night
Whether it’s just an odd reoccurring noise or a full-blown “haunting,” the recently formed Hopkins County Paranormal Society is ready to get to the bottom of it with an array of investigative equipment and know-how.

Running in the same vein as well-known paranormal teams like Ghost Hunters/TAPS and the Paranormal Research Society at Penn State, the Hopkins County Paranormal Society (HCPS) provides assistance to those who are experiencing strange, unexplainable events, while also seeking concrete proof that spirits or ghosts do exist. And, so far, they’ve been successful on both counts.

Founded approximately 6 weeks ago by talented local author and paranormal buff, Bill Payne, the HCPS is based out of Nortonville, KY and currently includes teammates Tristan Stanley (of Hopkins County Ghost Hunters) and Dwayne Driffin.

When asked why and how the HCPS was started, Payne explained that, “My oldest daughter said that she had started seeing spirits and experiencing strange things in her house a couple of months ago, so I wanted to figure out what was going on. The first piece of equipment I bought was a digital recorder because I wanted to try and catch any kind of voices in the house—and I caught one. I asked if there was anyone who wanted to communicate with me and I got a clear ‘yeah.’ I then asked if there was anyone there at all and I got another ‘yeah.’”

Though Payne says he had been intrigued by the world of paranormal investigation for some time, it wasn’t until his experiences in his daughter’s home that he began purchasing more equipment and offering investigative services to our region.

Since that time, Payne says that the HCPS team has investigated about 6 different locations,I transferred files over FTP, downloaded Web pages ds マジコン using curl, and ran the speed tester at speedtest.net. each with their own unique stories and sets of paranormal evidence. Furthermore, the team has also acquired a variety of gear commonly used in paranormal investigations, such as an electro-magnetic field (EMF) detector (picks up high-energy concentrations commonly associated with paranormal activity), a K2 meter (a variant of the EMF detector with interactive LED lights),Under efforts of led spotlight boosting the viability of LED luminaires, many companies are expanding high-power selections. two full-spectrum digital cameras capable of picking up images without a light source, a laser grid (helps to directly pinpoint any foreground movements), a motion detector, and 2 digital recorders for capturing voices.

Though the team has been able to capture evidence at each of their investigations so far, Payne says that one of the most striking experiences occurred while inspecting Pilot Knob Cemetery in Marion, KY.Unlike compact cfl bulbs fluorescent light bulbs, LED based light bulbs provide a variety of lighting options- including the ability to provide a wide range of light, which allows them to act as a proper replacement light bulb

“While we were at the cemetery, I found myself shining a flashlight on the grave of a little girl,LED grow light suppliers in China are sky lanterns rolling out models with better price-performance ratios.” explains Payne. “After the grave caught my eye, I unscrewed the top of my flashlight enough to where the light wasn’t on anymore and laid it on top of her gravestone; it was off just enough to where you could twist it back and it would come on.Although this article shows that Cree's led lighting and Philips LED product sales are not equal it is important to note that Philips LED sales We pointed it toward the camera we had and it started turning off and on all by itself on top of the grave. None of us were touching it and you could see that there were no other people around us.”
